What we offer is a classic quadricycle: a pedal-powered vehicle that you pedal yourselves. It has no motor, and you can ride it on the designated paths of Margaret Island at your own pace.
Two adults and two children
The quadricycle has two adult seats and two child seats. It’s not suitable for more than two adults — if there are four adults, two tandems or four bicycles will be much more comfortable. Weight capacity: 250 kg.
Car-free island
Most of the island is completely car-free. A single road runs through it, used by one bus route and vehicles with special permits. That’s exactly why the island is so popular with families, and why it’s comfortable to cycle with children.

How it works
1. Book online — or just come.
Feel free to arrive without booking. Online booking is worth it for the discount: the same rental is 15% cheaper.
2. Online booking is a prepaid voucher.
It marks a time slot, but doesn’t reserve a specific vehicle for you. If you miss it, you don’t need to get in touch, and it won’t be lost — come when it suits you.
3. Come to the fountain.
At the southern entrance of Margaret Island, on the side facing Margaret Bridge, you’ll find us at the roundabout in front of the musical fountain.
4. ID, and off you go.
For the rental period we’ll take a photo ID, and depending on the vehicle and group size, we may also ask for a deposit of up to 30,000 HUF. We don’t accept passports — a driver’s license, national ID, or student ID is fine.
On busier days it may happen that the type of vehicle you booked is currently rented. Our rentals are short and we have a good size fleet, so waiting is usually no more than 15 minutes.

Where to find us
At the southern entrance of Margaret Island, on the side facing Margaret Bridge, you’ll find us right in front of the fountain. Address: 1138 Budapest, Margaret Island, at the roundabout in front of the musical fountain.
Take tram 4 or 6 and get off at the Margaret Island stop at Margaret Bridge, then walk down to the island — it’s about 10–15 minutes on foot from either end of the bridge. Important: shared scooters (Lime, Dott) cannot be parked on the island, so it’s not worth arriving on one.

Quadricycle rental costs 6,900 HUF for 30 minutes, 9,000 HUF for 1 hour, 15,300 HUF for 2 hours, 21,900 HUF for 3 hours. With online booking you currently get a 15% discount. You can find the full price list on the Prices page.
Is the go-kart motorized?
No. These are classic quadricycles: pedal-powered, four-seat vehicles that you pedal yourselves. These have no motor or any type of pedal-assist. You can use it on the designated paths of Margaret Island at your own pace.
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just come?
Feel free to arrive without a booking. Online booking is worth it for the discount, not to reserve a vehicle: we don’t hold specific vehicles for online bookings. On busier days it may happen that a particular type is currently out, but our rentals are short and our fleet is large, so waiting is usually no more than 15 minutes.
I booked a time slot but I'm running late — what should I do?
Nothing — come when you can. Your online booking is essentially a prepaid voucher: it marks a time slot, but you don’t need to let us know if you miss it, and it won’t be lost. Arrive when it suits you, and you can get going. During peak times, though, there may be a short wait, especially if you’ve booked multiple vehicles at once.
Do I need an ID or deposit?
Yes. For the rental period we’ll take a photo ID, and depending on the vehicle and group size, our colleagues may also ask for a deposit of up to 30,000 HUF. We’ll return the ID when you return the vehicle, and you’ll get the full deposit back if the vehicle comes back in the same condition.
We accept any photo ID, but we do not accept passports. A driver’s license, national ID, or student ID is fine.
Is there an age limit? Do I need a driver's license?
There’s no fixed age limit, and no driver’s license is required — none of our vehicles are motorized. Those under 18 need adult supervision, and the supervising adult decides whether the child can safely use the given vehicle.

We’re open every day from 9 AM until sunset, so closing time shifts with the season:

How long does it take to go around the island?
You can cycle around Margaret Island in as little as 30 minutes if you’re mainly just riding. However, if you’d like to stop at the sights, rest, or explore the island’s atmosphere more thoroughly, it’s worth choosing a longer rental period.
